Dirk Anderson is the Director of Cyber Risk and Compliance at SALT where he is responsible for identifying and evaluating risks to SALT’s information assets and for working with management to address mitigation strategies. He is also responsible for driving forward SALT’s goal of servicing crypto-backed loans for companies in the blockchain space to enable them to build, grow and scale. As part of this responsibility, he manages the technology around SALT’s cryptographic systems and interfaces with borrowers, investors, and partners regarding the company’s custody technology and services.  Dirk’s passion for information security has driven him through 25 years as an industry professional in every realm from network security architecture to line-by-line code review to the development of policy & governance programs. He has worked with sole-proprietors and the Fortune 50, helping them all to meet desired and mandated cyber risk postures, and has conducted a significant number of risk and security assessments for M&A clients. His experience spans most industry verticals and third-party service providers such as hosting and cloud services. Dirk is a sought-after speaker and contributing author to publications from the original SANS Incident Handling Step-by-Step guide to Security 2020: Reduce Security Risks This Decade.
