Project Manager, World Food Programme Innovation Accelerator

Alexandra Alden is a Project Manager at the World Food Programme’s Innovation Accelerator where she leads their work on blockchain initiatives. She managed the acceleration of the Building Blocks project which uses blockchain to make WFP’s Cash-Based Transfer program faster, more efficient and more secure. The Accelerator is also currently investigating other use cases including supply chain and identity. Alexandra has a background in human-centered design and international development having worked with IDEO on developing entrepreneurial programs and as a social enterprise consultant in Latin America. She holds a Masters of Development Practice from UC Berkeley.
